The music truly does sound better if you have an FM-PAC cartridge installed. The game's music didn't improve until the game was re-released for the PS1 and GameBoy Advance.

I changed it, it's indeed not made by Microcabin, but released by Microcabin.

MSX's Final Fantasy is not from Microcabin, it's from Squaresoft! (nowadays SquareEnix)
